    DJ Sharma

They are down to 6 now after DJ Sharma shoved the middle and Weston Pring called with more from the big blind. Pring had AK against QJ. There was a bit of a sweat when Sharma turned open-ended, but ultimately the the board of 105694 stayed clean for Pring’s big slick.

They are just moments from the dinner break now and I’ll grab full chips counts while they are away from the table.

In the final hand of Level 23, Nicholas Teeuwen opened the hijack for 60k and then called when Weston Pring shoved his small blind for 295k. Teeuwen had A10 against pocket jacks for Pring. The board os 433K3 was clean for the pair and Pring scored a double.

Level 24 has just begun and they’ll take their dinner break following this level.

    Prizes:$106,400
    Ben Cooper

Nicholas Yeeuwen opened early for 60k before big blind Ben Cooper shoved. Teeuwen called with the bigger stack and a huge lead, showing kings against jacks. The all-club flop gave Cooper some outs with his J but the turn and river bricked and the kings held for the win.

  • Closing in on $45k in Prizes

    Level:7 (400/800/800)
    Entries:36/64
    Prizes:$43,776

I’m still watching the final table of the NLH Megastack so I don’t have eyes on this game, but the field is up to 64 entries with 36 players still at the felt. That puts almost $44k into the prize pool so far with about 2 hours left to enter this game.

He switched it up with a lead for 340k on the 10 river (after a long tank) and Serpico called it down, mucking when Malm showed pocket kings for the win.

    Jocab Hobday

They are down to 8 left now after Jacob Hobday shoved for 105k under the gun and Weston Pring reraised to 300k next to act. The rest of the table folded, and Pring was in good shape with jacks against K7 for Hobday. The jacks held on a board of 42Q73.

    Prizes:$106,400
    Matt Clark

Michael Malm raised the hijack to 75k, then snap-called with Matt Clark shoved the cutoff for less than 200k. It was a race between the pocket fours for Malm and king-queen for Clark, but Malm smashed the flop with a four for the set and the win.

Kali Shuali shoved second to act and it folded around to big blind DJ Sharma. He woke up with pocket kings and snap-called in good shape against the A9 for Shuali. The 73526 board flopped clubs, but Shuali bricked the 4th club she needed on the turn and river to hit the cage for 11th place.

  • Pring Gets There for Double

    Level:20 (8000/16000/16000)
    Entries:14/224
    Prizes:$106,400

It was a pretty gross spot for Jon Jacquard. He opened to 30k in the final hand of Level 19 and got two callers from the cutoff and the button before small blind Weston Pring shoved for 284k. Jacquard hit the tank for a bit before calling, forcing out the other two hands.

Pring was dominated with KQ against AK for Jacquard. Both players flopped their king on the K534J board, but then Pring ran out to diamonds for flush win and the double. Jacquard had the bigger stack so he is still alive, but he was on around 150k after the hand while Pring is up to around 600k.

  • Cooper Looks to be Leading

    Level:19 (6000/12000/12000)
    Entries:14/224
    Prizes:$106,400

I’ve just had a bit of an eyeball of the stacks for the final 14 players and it looks like Ben Cooper has the lead right now with about 800k in front of him. Most of the chips seem to be on Table 15 right now, as #2 looks to be Nicholas Teeuwen, seated to Cooper’s right, while Mike Malm is across the table with about 500k for 3rd place right now.

Michael St. Pierre-Porter, who bagged the 1a chip lead and came into today 3rd in chips, just shoved his small blind and his button to take down some dead money and chip up, but he’s still down from his start stack today, playing about 200k at the moment.
