    Entries:23/224
    Prizes:$106,400

They are in the money now in the Megastack game after Jon Jacquard turned a set of nines to send Jacon Johnston to the rail as the bubble player today. All remaining players are now guaranteed at least $1,064.

  • Bubble Time

    Level:16 (3000/6000/6000)
    Entries:23/224
    Prizes:$106,400

They are on the bubble now in the Megastack Day 2 with 23 players left and 22 paid spots. The clock is paused with 3:34 remaining in Level 16 and they’ll take 2 minutes off the clock for each hand played from now until the next elimination.

  • PLO Megastack is On Deck for Thursday

    Event:#11: $800 PLO Megastack ($729 + $80)
    Dates:Nov 14, 2 PM
    Blinds:30 MInutes
    Start Stack:30k
    Late Entry:10 Levels (~7:45 PM)

The side game on Thursday is the PLO Megastack, set to ply out alongside Day 2 of the NLH Megastack. The four-card action kicks off at 2 pm and players will sit down with 30k in chips. Blinds will be 30 minutes long from start to end and players can buy into the game until the start of Level 11, which should be around 7:45 PM tonight.

I won’t be paying much attention to this game early in the day as I’ll be focussed on the two-card Mega, but once a winner is decided in that one, I’ll move over to finish out the PLO. I expect this will be a late one, depending on the field size, so buckle in for perhaps a 4 AM finish.

  • Day 2 is Underway

    Level:16 (3000/6000/6000)
    Entries:27/224
    Prizes:$106,400

The final 27 players in the Megastack are in their seats for Day 2 now with Level 16 running. There are still 5 players who need to bust before players are in the money.

  • Julius Roque Wins NLH/PLO Mix for $8,140

It’s probably safe to say Julius Roque likes this game. He cruised through the final table tonight with the chip lead from start to end, but this is far from the first time he’s crushed this game.

He won this same event in August 2023 at the Summer Super, then he followed that up earlier this year with a WSOP-C ring in this event in the May series. His son was on hand to celebrate his birthday and rail his dad for that ring.

He had no rail tonight, but Roque was just as dominant in the game. He was running pure, but he was also using his big stack to perfection pressuring the smaller stacks in crucial spots.

He had about 1.3 million out of 1.5 in play when he got heads-up with Patrick H and made quick work of it. In one of the first hands of HU play, Roque flopped a set of nines and the money went in with Patrick on an overpaid with the 9 blocker. Patrick bricked his thin draw on the turn and river to send yet another Mix game title to Roque.

  • Patrick H Out in 2nd Place for $5,746

    Patrick H

It was a quick heads-up match tonight. Patrick H has a massive mountain to climb as he had only about 200k to Julius Roque’s 1.3 million. The money went in pretty quickly on a glop of [invalid notations] runout and hit the cage for second-place money.

  • Ismar Delic Out in 3rd Place for $4,070

    Level:18 (6000/12000/12000 PLO)
    Entries:2/63
    Prizes:$23,940
    Ismar Delic

Julius Roque is a bit of a wrecking ball tonight as he just sent Ismar Delic to the rail for 3rd place. Delic limped the button, then called when big blind Roque potted it to 48k. Roque potted again on the [invalid notations] and Delic called off his stack. He had pocket tens with a straight draw but Roque was drawing to the flush, which he turned with A.

  • Ty Adams Out in 4th Place for $2,633

    Level:18 (6000/12000/12000 PLO)
    Entries:3/63
    Prizes:$23,940
    Ty Adams

It was another brutal exit for Ty Adams tonight as he busted shortly after getting rivered by Julius Roque for the big pot. As he left the room, he confirmed to me that he had Roque crushed until the river of the previous hand, turning deuces full of kings, before Roque rivered a two outer to the bigger boat.

  • Roque Running them Over

    Level:18 (6000/12000/12000 PLO)
    Entries:4/63
    Prizes:$23,940

Julius Roque has a ring in this Mix Game from last May, and he is pushing the table around with his big stack. He’s been potting relentlessly since they moved to PLO, getting most of them through. I the most recent hand, he didn’t pot, but still managed to get there for a nice chip up.

Ty Adams opened under the gun to 30k and it turned into a family pot with three callers. the 225 flop checked to Roque on the button and he fired 35k. Adams was the only caller to the 2 turn and both players checked it to the 10 river.

Adams checked and Roque fired out 175k. Adams snap-called it but was visibly frustrated when Roque rolled over 101077 for tens full on the river.

“You had to hit that ten, eh?” Adams said as he paid off the bet.

  • Deven Lane Out in 5th Place for $1,915

    Level:17 (5000/10000/10000 NLH)
    Entries:4/63
    Prizes:$23,940
    Deven Lane

They are down to 4 now after Deven Lane followed Dean Morrone out of the game. I missed the action while writing the previous bust, but Lane pocketed $1,915 for his work today.

  • Deam Morrone Out in 6th Place for $1,436

    Level:17 (5000/10000/10000 NLH)
    Entries:5/63
    Prizes:$23,940
    Dean Morrone

Dean Morrone was the first player out in the money after his ace-king couldn’t find a card against the pocket eights of Patrick H. Patrick shoved the cutoff and Morrone called with less from the button to set up the race.

  • Final Seven Players

    Level:17 (5000/10000/10000 NLH)
    Entries:6/63
    Prizes:$23,940

They are in the money now with 6 players left after Teo Sanchez was the unfortunate bubble tonight. See below for a look at the final seven players tonight.

  • Nicholas Teeuwen Leads Day 2 Megastacks

    Event:#9: $560 Megastack ($500 + $60)
    Dates:Day 1a: Nov 12, Noon
    Day 1b: Nov 13, Noon
    Day 2: Nov 14, Noon
    Blinds:40 MInutes
    Day 1 Entries:27/224
    Prizes:$106,400
    1st Place:$25,536

Day 2 is set for the Megastack, but despite the best efforts of the staff, they won’t be in the money on Day 2. There are 27 players returning to fight for 22 paid spots and Heads Up champ Nicholas Teeuwen is the one with the most chips to start the day.

Teeuwen was the only player with more than 400k after an opening flight but there are four other players chasing him from the 300k range. Weston Pring is #2 with 385k, Day 1a leader Michael St. Pierre-Porter is 3rd with 369k, Jacob Hobday is 4th with 312k while Zeyu “Skytrain” Huang rounds out the top five with 309k.

Day 2 action gets going at noon on Thursday with the start of Level 16. Players are asked to be in the room by 11:45 so the game can start on time. Day 2 seat assignments will follow shortly.

  • Bubble Time

    Level:15 (3000/6000/6000 NLH)
    Entries:7/63
    Prizes:$23,940

They are down to 7 players left with Julius Roque in the lead with more than 500k. Chasing him are Deven Lane, Teo Sanchez, Ty Adams, Ismar Delic, Dean Morrone, and Patrick H.

  • 17 Players Left After 15 1b Levels

Day 1b is complete and there were still 17 stacks in play when the final level ended. Nicholas Teeuwen, who is fresh off his win in the Heads Up game, bagged the big stack today. He has 435.5k going into Day 2 and will lead the way. Weston Pring bagged 385k tonight for second, while Jacob Hobday has the third biggest 1b stack.

Full 1b qualifying stacks are below, and stay tuned for the full Day 2 roster and seat assignments to be posted shortly.

  • Final Table Time

    Level:14 (3000/5000/5000 PLO)
    Entries:10/63
    Prizes:$23,940

They are down to the final table of 10 players as Level 14 begins. There are only 9 stacks with players in front of them though as DJ Sharma’s ghost stack is still in the game. There are still 4 players who will go home empty-handed tonight and Sharma may well be one of them as he’s down to 41k, less than 10 bigs.

His day is nearly over in the Mega stack though, so he’ll be at his chips in this one in 10 minutes or so hoping to spin it up again. He’ll likely be back just in time for the end of this PLO round and the start of the next NLH round with NLH being his better game.

  • Down to 24

    Level:15 (2500/5000/5000)
    Entries:24/174 (34/224)
    Prizes:$106,400

The final level of the night is just beginning with 24 players left alive. If they lose 9 players before the end of this level they’ll bag up early, but most likely, they will play through this level without getting to 15.

  • 6 Off the Money

    Level:12 (1500/3000/3000 PLO)
    Entries:12/63
    Prizes:$23,940

They are down to 12 left in the Mix game, though only 11 stacks have players in front of them. DJ Sharma’s stack is unattended while he finishes out the final hour of the Megastack, but it looks like he’ll still have chips when they bag over there. He is only allowed to play in this one during breaks of the Mega, so he won’t be able to touch his stack again until after the Mega bags come out.
