Green Doubles in Cooler
Level: 12 (1,500/2,500/2,500) Entries: 19/75 Prizes: $21,375 There are about 10 minutes to play in Level 12 with a break following this level. Cliff Green just got a double for his short stack when his pocket eights held against the pocket sixes of the Seniors champ from Series 4 Ron Taylor. While the flop didn’t change anything, the board of 6♠A♣8♣A♦J♣ got comments from the table with Taylor commenting “Set over Set”. Taylor still had a decent stack in front of him after the hand.

Down to 22
Level: 12 (1,500/2,500/2,500) Entries: 22/75 Prizes: $21.375 Level 12 has just begun with 22 players left in the action, 14 away from the money spots. They’ll go on a break at the end of this level and I’ll get full counts for all remaining players then. The average stack right now is a bit less than 40 big blinds.
-
Final Three Tables
Level: 11 (1,000/2,000/2,000) Entries: 25/75 Prizes: $21,375 They are down to the final three tables in the Seniors game now with 25 players left alive. There are a bit more than 10 minutes to play in Level 11.
-
Clarke Gets a Double
Level: 10 (1,000/1,500/1,500) Entries: 29/75 Prizes: $21,375 Rob Lothian opened the action from under the gun with a limp and Bernard Buyar bumped it up to 4,500 from the middle. It folded around to Jeff Clarke on the big blind and he shoved for a bit more than 15k.
Lothian had a short think about it but mucked his hand before Buyar snap called it off for a race between his pocket jacks and the ace-queen for Clarke. The board of A♥4♥10♠6♦4♣ gave Clarke his ace in the window and it was all he needed to double to near 35k now.
-

There are just under 15 minutes to play in Level 10 with the next break scheduled after Level 12. I’ll grab a full chip count at the break.
