The board was out to the turn when I arrived at the table reading 5♦8♣10♣Q♣ and Kris Steinbach fired 100k. Ryan Comely came over the top with a pot to 464k.
That sent Steinbach deep into the tank. “I have a monster,” he said, counting out the call, but leaving it behind the line. He finally decided to muck his hand saying he had jack-nine for the straight.
The hand left both players sitting on about 800k.
