Final Flight to Day 2 Boarding Saturday

Event:#1: $340 Deepstack ($300 + $40)
Dates:Day 1a: Nov 7, 2 PM
Day 1b: Nov 8. 2 PM
Day 1c, Nov 9, 2 PM
Day 2: Nov 10, Noon
Blinds:30/40 Min
Start Stack:20k
Late Entry:10 Levels (~8:15 pm)
Day 1 Ends:16 Levels ~11:30 pm (or 10%+1 of Starting Field)

After two starting flights for the Deepstack game, the field is at 209 with $59,565 in prizes so far. The big leader after two days is Dale Posein with 445k. That’s nearly 200k more than second place Patricia Kananda. Todd Oakley, who won the PLO game on opening night, bagged stack #3 worth 271k while Mike Malm, leader from 1a, in fourth now. Scott Calvank rounds out the top five counts after two starting days.

Day 1c will replicate the previous starting flights, only bigger. I’m expecting around 150 for Saturday, but the final numbers remain to be seen.

Players sit down with 20k in chips to start their day, and entries will be accepted for the first 10 levels of play. With 30-minute blinds on Day 1 (Day 2 moves to 40 minutes), that should put the final chance to enter or rebuy at about 8:15 PM on Day 1.

They’ll play a maximum of 16 levels on Day 1 with the bags coming out after Level 16 or when the field hits 10%+1, whichever comes first. If they play until the end of 16, the bags will be out around 11:30 PM.

This game will be my main focus throughout the opening weekend of the series. I’ll keep an eye on the side events and move to them at the end of the days for this event, but most of my attention will be focused here at the start of the series.
