The Superstack Main Event is on deck with the opening flight starting on Friday at noon. Players get 30k in chips to start and they’ll play 40-minute levels on Day 1.
There are 9 levels to get into the game or rebuy, putting the final chance to enter at about 7:15 PM. There are 15 levels on the schedule for Day 1 and, if they go the distance, the bags are likely to come out around 11:30 PM. However, they may bag up early if the field plays down to 10% of the total.
Friday plays host to Day 1a, while Day 1b will run on Saturday. All the qualifying players will return on Sunday and, in theory, they should all be in the money assuming both Day 1s play down to 10% of the field. That isn’t a guarantee, however, so it’s possible they’ll return on Sunday with work to do before the money. Time, and poker, will tell.
This will be my main focus on Friday until the bags come out.
