Nicholas Teeuwen Takes Down Heads Up Game

Nicholas Teeuwen and rail after winning the Heads Up game

It was a bit of a marathon in the Heads Up game tonight with several of the first round matches going very long. While some games seemed to go very quickly, others dragged on for a couple of hours.

When it got down to the semifinals in the money, it was Haven Taylor versus Oleksandr Lobur with Taylor coming out the victor. On the other side, it was Kali Shuali against Nicholas Teeuwen wth Teeuwen taking it down. Interestingly, Shuali was up against her poker coach and close friend, Michael Malm, in the quarter-finals, taking it down to move on.

The final battle went for a couple of hours with Teeuwen holding the advantage over Taylor through most of it. I wasn’t able to watch the action that closely as I was following the final table of the Seniors game at the same time, but pretty much every time I looked at the heads up match, Teeuwen was in the lead.
