Against all the odds, they played the distance on Day 1a with a full 15 levels in the books and 10 players still alive. That means that at least two players will be coming back on Day 2 outside the money.
Michael St. Pierre-Porter is the leader from Day 1a with 369k while Zeyu “Skytrain” Huang also has more than 300k for second. Vancouver’s Kali Shuali, who was in the money in the Heads Up game yesterday, bagged the third stack with 267k. While he is at the other end of the table, another notable stack from 1a is Jordan Banfield, who is working on win #3 in this series. He’ll have work to do on Thursday with just 83k to start, but he’s running hot and playing well this week so I wouldn’t count him out.
