The €800 Main Event of the Norwegian National Poker Championship is underway in Card Casino Bratislava as thousand started a fight for the glory of the Norway's poker champion.

The starting stack is 100,000, the blinds start at 200/400 and are raised every 60 minutes. The tournament is in freezout format and new champion will be crowned on Monday, April 3.

As it’s custom in National Championships, only players with Norwegian citizenship can participate in the tournament, but there certainly won’t be a shortage of players as we unofficially learn that around 2,000 Norwegians traveled to Bratislava for this Festival.

Many PokerPro.cc players are still in the tournament and we’re hoping to see them on the final table and of them lifting the trophy!

Per Indersund 2022 Champion

Last year Norwegian Championship was held in Dublin, Ireland and it was Per Indersund who was a crowned champion at the end, beating Robert Kaggerud in heads-up for the title and €127,500 prize.

But the main story of the last year championship was a Norwegian chess grandmaster Magnus Carlsen, who finished the tournament in impressive 25th place and pulled a successful bluff along the way against John Erik Dagslot. The video already has hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube.

In addition to the tournaments, there are many cash game tables running with various different stakes. They start as early as 11:00 and last until dawn.

Along with the cash money prizes and the titles, winners will receive trophies and valuable watches!
