Arlie Shaban Wins Five ONCOOP 2022 Titles

Online poker in Ontario became legal in April 2022, which meant poker sites could apply for license in a ring-fenced market. Luckily for Canadians many did exactly so, including GGPoker, partypoker, 888, and PokerStars.

Of course, all the sites wanted to begin the new chapter as big as they could, so GGPoker hosted 3 additional WSOP Online bracelet events, partypoker’s weekly tournament schedule guarantees C$500,000, while PokerStars hosted their flagship COOP series called ONCOOP 2022. And without a doubt, the star of the ONCOOP show was a popular Canadian Twitch streamer Arlie Shaban, who managed to win not one, not two, not three, not four, but five ONCOOP titles!

The first title was won on the third day of the series where he managed to get on top at 11-L: $30 PKO event for $1,924.

Totally thrilled about his first ever COOP win, he added his second one only few days later, this time at 22-H: $300 PKO for $10,603.

The next two titles came in the same night. 42-L: $30 PKO ended first for $1,778, while he was already a chip leader 3-way in 41-L: $50.

He needed less than one hour to bag the second one adding $2,045 to his name.

The fifth and final one was a mixed event between NLHE and PLO and even though he “has no fucking clue how to play PLO”. His words, not ours. $896 was awarded to Arlie in 44-L: $30 NLHE/PLO event.

As you can see all these tournaments were played in front of live audience on Twitch. He has streamed more than 100 hours of play during the ONCOOP series, while averaging 371 viewers with a peak of 735 viewers.

Series concluded previous week, but Arlie Shaban’s busy schedule continues as he attends UKIPT and EPT London, where he hopes his rungood carries on at the live poker tables as well.
