Daniel Negreanu Takes Down Super High Roller Bowl for $3,312,000

What was considered a tough year for Daniel Negreanu, especially after 2022 World Series of Poker where he finished more than a million in red, is now a totally forgotten past as he wins Super High Roller Bowl VII for $3,312,000!

24 elite players bought into $300,000 SHRB and $3,3 million was reserved for a champion. Daniel’s run good began on Day 1 where he played in an absurd hand against Bryn Kenney, where he hit runner-runner quads against Bryn’s Aces Full.

5 players returned in the final day of play, but only four were guaranteed a min prize of $720,000. Bubble boy was Orpen Kisacikoglu, who got knocked out by Andrew Lichtenberger. The happiest in the room was short-stacked Justin Bonomo, who made into the money, but got himself eliminated few hands later by Andrew.

The trio that remained, besides Negreanu and Lichtenberger the third player was Nick Petrangelo, all had similar stacks and we saw no eliminations for almost 5 hours of play. Eventually, Negreanu and Lichtenberger clashed in an all-in pre pot, Canadian holding A6 and crushing American with K6. Ace on the flop pretty much sealed the deal.

Daniel started Heads-Up with a big 4:1 chip lead over Nick but was able to double up with KJ against A3. Negreanu chipped away his stack once again, coming back to 10bbs when another all-in happen. This time it was Negreanu’s Q7 called by Petrangelo’s K5.
