A chip and a chair is a famous poker saying that was born when Jack Straus won the WSOP Main Event having just one chip left in a tournament. Well, it was two chips and a chair for Richard Lee, a managing partner at Global Blockchain Innovative Capital, who was down to a less than two big blinds at one point but made a big comeback to win the StormX Invitation II!
Lee topped a 130-entry field to take home $175,500 and he did it in quite a style as he manage to knock out all last 4 standing players. In 5th he eliminated Shingo Lavine, the Ethos.io founder. 4th place finisher was popular vlogger Brad Owen, who scored a $58,500 for effort, which is his biggest tournament cash to date.
Kacper Piotrowski hit the rail soon after, which gave Richard Lee a huge advantage over Daniel "Tafo" Lee in a heads-up match, which lasted only one hand. Tafo, a former competitive Super Smash Bros. Melee player moved all-in with KT, Richard called with AQ. A queen on the flop and blank turn and river sealed the deal and Richard made a full come back to win the StormX Invitational II.
