Josh Stewart Narrowly Missed Out on Glory at THE FESTIVAL in Bratislava 14 Oct

Member of the Josh Stewart from Northern Ireland came close to winning his first tournament in THE FESTIVAL IN BRATISLAVA series yesterday morning, making it to the final table in Event #17 PLO High Roller €1100 buy-in. A field of 62 players grew the prize to €58,900 and Stewart came in at 3rd for €7,700. Team is stationed this week in Bratislava where the wonderful The Festival is being played at Banco Casino. A series of great tournaments of games in all poker variants are being organized with buy-ins ranging from €130 and all the way up to €1,100.

Josh actually could have finished higher, as he got his hand all-in preflop with AA32 and got called by Šimovič who held KKQ5. The board ran out Q4KJ4, which gave Šimovič a set of kings and eliminated Josh in 3rd place.
The hometown hero Sebastian Šimovič ended up taking the victory when he managed to beat the Estonian Marten Merits and took home a first place prize of €20,000.

The Festival Main Event

3 out of 5 starting days of the €550 500k GTD Main Event, have been played out and so far there were almost 600 entries and the tournament is well on its way to reach the guaranteed prize pool. The last two chances to buy-in are today with the normal Day 1D starting at 12.00 local time and the speed version, which will start at 20.00.
Day 2 will start on Saturday at 12.00 and final two tables will be played on Sunday at 14.00.
