In the early hours of Monday morning, PokerPro ambassador Josh Stewart managed to finish the job in the £1,100 PLO tournament at 2022 EPT London and take home the grand prize of £27,830. To put the cherry on top, the last opponent standing was Thor Erik Hoftaniska, another PokerPro representative.
What an amazing turn of events in the EPT London £1,100 PLO tournament. Josh Stewart managed to beat a field of 113 players and ended up taking home the trophy and the £27,830 first prize. His heads-up opponent was Thor Erik Hoftaniska, which made the match a battle between two players from our team. Stewart entered the heads-up battle with a huge chip lead, so it only took him 3 hands to finish the job. Hoftaniska was left with a £17,390 prize for second place.
Stewart managed to pretty much smooth sail on his way to victory, building his stack gradually, and was never really in danger of being eliminated. He told us that the only thing that is a bit disappointing is the smaller trophy he got but is already putting in work for a bigger one in the £3,000 EPT Platinum Pass Mystery Bounty tournament. The format of that tournament is multi day Mystery Bounty with only one starting flight. There are currently 269 registered and 195 players left.
Josh already showed us a great form at The Festival in Bratislava, where he ended 3rd in a similar PLO event with €1,100 buy-in and a €7,700 money prize.
