Phil Galfond gathers a tangible lead after 5,600 hands

The fourth match of the Galfond Challenge has been going perfect for Phil Galfond on Run It Once Poker so far. After 5,600 of a total of 35,000 hands his advantage versus his opponent, Chance Kornuth, is almost €150,000.
 
In our latest Galfond Challenge article, we have reported how Phil Galfond came back from a disadvantage and showed everyone, why he is considered to be one of the greatest PLO players. Already the next day, he increased his advantage for €67,000 in just 900 hands. Regardless, his matches against Kornuth are a great indicator of the variance involved in such high Omaha games.

On the 1st of October, Phil Galfond completely outplayed Kornuth and won €117,000 in just 750 hands. Run It Once Instagram profile uploaded a photo with a meaningful caption: “A casual six-figure day for Mr.Galfond”.

In total, Phil Galfond is up €149,000 against Chance Kornuth.
