Norway’s Sander Ostlyngen won the Eureka €2,200 Highroller at EPT Prague after two days of play which generated prize pool of €2,945,280 with 1,534 entries, which also broke the record for this tournament.
The first day of the high roller event started with 225 entries and PokerStars’ ambassador Benjamin "Spraggy" Spragg picked up the chips early when he hit a full house and crushed his opponent's QQ in the first hand. It didn't last long, however, and popular Twitch streamer Spraggy was out later after being unable to recover from an early hit to his stack.
PokerStars Team Pro Ambassador Alejandro Lococo jumped straight into the tournament after his big success in the Eureka Main Event and built up a stack before putting in his chips with Q9s against Kreshnik Maloku's 99 to no avail.
The bubble burst when Majid Nadeem's JJ ran into Bleron Maliqi's KK to end the day.
It was a short heads-up battle for the title and €463k payday. Small pots were played before Ostlyngen took the chip lead in the big pot after a non-showdown flop against Slovakia's Stanislav Koleno.
Norwegian was able to finish the job with an aggressive play that Koleno just couldn’t recover. He went into a deep tank in the last hand before calling, but his pocket kings were no good against Sander’s trips J and young Norwegian took home the trophy and €463,850 in the early Tuesday hours.
