The second edition of StormX Invitational poker tournament with $5,000 buy-in is taking place today, October 27, 2022, at 5pm ET / 11pm CET live from PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas.

An invite-only star-studded event will feature 81 players with at least $400,000 prize pool. Several pros have already confirmed their participation including Daniel Negreanu, Doug Polk, Maria Ho, Tom Dwan, David Williams, Joseph Cheong, Andy Stacks, Kitty Kuo, and Xuan Liu.

Oliver Blakey wins first-ever StormX event

First StormX Invitational was held in March 2022 and Oliver Blakey, managing partner at Ascensive Assets, managed to top the 111-entry field to win $183,150 first-place prize, beating “King of Social Media” Branden Hempton heads-up.

In a tournament that featured crypto entrepreneurs and celebrities, only two poker pros made the final table and finished in the money. Maria Ho was the short stack at the final table and ended busting in 9^th for $16,650, while David Williams was eliminated in 6^th for $33,300 money prize.
