The 4th Global Poker Awards was held in PokerGO studio on Friday night with 27 trophies rewarded to poker players, personalities, industry people, best content creators, and more. Nominations for annual award show were announced in February alongside the finalists for four people’s choice awards.
Stephen Song and Ethan “Rampage” Yau both received two awards. While Song was already declared winner for GPI Player of the Year and GPI Mid-Major Player of the Year beforehand, Yau celebrated wins as Best Vlogger and Poker Personality voted by fans.
Hustler Casino Live took centre stage with Fave Live Stream win and Robbi Jade Lew winning the Best Hand award for her J4 hand against Garrett Adelstein. To no surprise, the last fans choice award for the Best Trophy was voted the WSOP Main Event Bracelet.
Angela Jordison, who finished runner-up to Cheris Andrews in GPI Female Poker of the Year race still managed to pick up a trophy as she won Breakout Player of 2022. It seems James Hartigan finally got a nod for his work being a voice of poker for almost two decades now as he wins Best Broadcaster of the last year.
The show was presented by Jeff Platt and Drea Renee with some other special guests. You can watch the whole ceremony down below.
