Alongside the date, 29 categories have been revealed, three of which already have a recipient as Stephen Song was declared winner for GPI Player of the Year and GPI Mid-Major Player of the Year, while GPI Female Player of the Year goes to Cheris Andrews.
Poker fans will have a say in four categories: Poker Personality, Best Hand, Best Trophy, and newly formed category Fave Live Stream and Top 100 ranked poker players on GPI leaderboard will once again vote for their toughest opponent.
Other important categories include Best Final Table Performance, Best Streamers, Best Vlogger, Best Podcast, and more. Nominees are expected to be announced on February 2.
The biggest winner of the 2021 Global Poker Awards last year was streaming platform PokerGO, Spraggy took the best streamer award and Brad Owen took home the trophy for the best vlogger.
