Slovenian Triumph at King’s Pot Limit Omaha
The KKPoker Slovenian Poker Tour (SPT) in Rozvadov continues to be a showcase of talent from Slovenia. David Homar has added another trophy to Slovenia’s growing collection by winning the King’s Pot Limit Omaha event. His victory not only brought him the top prize of €2,616 but also marked the second trophy for Slovenia in this series. The runner-up walked away with €1,859. The event, which lasted five hours, saw 91 players fighting for a slice of the €9,509 prize pool. It’s a notable achievement, reflecting the growing poker scene in Slovenia, as this event attracted the largest number of Slovenian players competing together outside their homeland.
Main Event Progress
The Main Event of the Slovenian Poker Tour is reaching its pivotal moments. Today’s action sees the beginning of Day 2, following four intense days of gameplay that have set the stage for thrilling poker confrontations. As the final qualifying round, the Day 1G Turbo session this morning at 11:00 offers the last chance for players to join the fray. This last opening flight features a starting stack of 50,000 and rapid 15-minute blinds, designed to challenge even the most skilled players.
Currently, the event boasts 1,314 registered players, out of which 173 have made it to Day 2. Given that there would have to be over 500 entries on the final flight, there’s a significant possibility of an overlay, which could increase the prize amounts for the top finishers.
