It’s a brand-new lineup to close out the 13th season of High Stakes Poker, and Phil Hellmuth is back in the mix. The Poker Brat is joined by venture capitalist Chamath Palihapitiya, Scratch CEO Sameh Elamawy, DoorDash Co-Founder Stanley Tang, Beast Industries President Jeff Housenbold, Hollywood actress Jennifer Tilly, and high-stakes poker players Andrew Robl and Nik Airball for this $200/$400 No-Limit Hold’em cash game.
From Almost Perfect to Perfect on the Flop
Elamawy opened to $2,000, Tilly 3-bet to $6,000, Housenbold 4-bet to $20,000, Palihapitiya shoves for $100,000, and Housenbold calls. The pot is $297,600, and Tilly is 96 percent favorite holding pocket aces against pocket kings from both of the players.
The flop came J♦6♣3♦, and Tilly won the hand without seeing the turn and the river.
Housenbald Pays Kicker Tax
Tang opened to $1,100, Tilly called, and Housenbold called. The pot was $4,200.
The flop comes Q♠Q♦K♦, giving something to every player, Tang c-bet for $2,000 holding Q♣10♠, Tilly called with K♣9♣, Housenbold raised to $12,000 with Q♥9♠, Tang 3-bet to $35,000, Tilly gets away and Housenbald calls. The pot was $76,200.
The turn was 8♥. Tang bet $40,000, Housenbald shoved for $69,600, and Tang called. The pot was $202,000, and they decided to run it twice.
The first runout river was 3♣, and the second one was 4♥, securing the full pot for Tang, who was the 77 percent favorite because he had a better kicker than Housenbald.
Robl Read Tilly Like a Book!
Airball opened to $2,000, two players called, Robl squeezed to $16,000, Tang called, Tilly 4-bet to $75,000, Robl shoved for $244,000, and Tilly folded holding 10♠10♦ vs Robl’s A♠J♦.
Robl also called her hand out, and that was correct. She floated preflop and then raised, so her range was capped to middle pocket pairs, excluding hands that would be able to call $244,000 shove from Robl.
