High Stakes Poker Season 13 Episode 12 Recap

It’s a brand-new lineup to close out the 13th season of High Stakes Poker, and Phil Hellmuth is back in the mix. The Poker Brat is joined by venture capitalist Chamath Palihapitiya, Scratch CEO Sameh Elamawy, DoorDash Co-Founder Stanley Tang, Beast Industries President Jeff Housenbold, Hollywood actress Jennifer Tilly, and high-stakes poker players Andrew Robl and Nik Airball for this $200/$400 No-Limit Hold’em cash game. Accidental Bluff Goes Trough For Airball

Airball opened to $1,200, Elamawy 3-bet to $5,000 with JJ, and Airball called with 1010. The pot was $11,100.

The flop came 823, Airball checked, Elamawy bet $7,000, Airball 3-bet to $27,000, and Elamawy called. The pot was $65,100.

The turn came 9, Airball bet $35,000, and Elamawy called. The pot was $135,100.

The river was A, and Airball asked Elamawy what he had. Elamawy responded, “A losing hand, apparently.” Airball shoved for the remaining $68,100, which made Elamawy fold the better hand.

Housenbald Gets Coolered by Palihapitiya

Housenbold opened to $2,200, Palihapitiya 3-bet to $6,000, Tilly called, Housenbold 4-bet to $15,000, Palihapitiya shoved for $56,600, Tilly folded and Housenbold called. Housenbold was behind holding QQ vs Palihapitiya’s AA. The pot was $119,900, and they decided to run it twice.

The first runout was 5AK1010 with a big turnaround on the river, giving the first half of the pot to Palihapitiya, and the second runout was 78824, giving Palihapitiya full share of the pot.

Elamawy Gets Lucky vs Tilly For a Split

Elamawy opened to $3,000 and got called by Tilly and Housenbold. The pot was $10,100.

The flop was 1072 giving Elamawy, who was holding 98, an open-ender, and he bet $5,000. Tilly was holding JJ and raised to $15,000, Housebold folded, Elamawy 3-bet to $55,000, Tilly shoved for $162,000, and Elamawy snap-called. The pot was $334,100, and they decided to run it twice.

The first runout came K9, and Tilly won the first half of the pot. The second runout looked good for Tilly on Q turn, but the river 6 decided that the pot would be split.
