Elamawy Turns His Value Into a Blluff
Elamawy open called with A♠8♦, Steven called, Gavri raised to $9,000 with A♥J♥, and Elamawy was the only caller. The pot was $22,300.
The flop came 5♥9♦A♣, giving both players a top pair. Gavri went for a c-bet and Elamawy called. The pot was $36,300.
The turn came 6♠ giving Elamawy some additional equity with a gutshot, but Gavri wasn’t impressed and continued with $20,000 bet, Elamawy called. The pot was $76.300.
The river was 6♣ which helps Gavri since there is less chance Elamawy can have A6, and also he now beats A5. Gavri went for third barrel of $50,000, but Elamawy shoved for additional $70,400. Gavri took a few moments to think but folded the better hand. Elamawy won the pot of $126,300.
Tilly Flops a Monster on Gavri
Tilly opened to $2,500 with 3♥3♦, Gavri 3-bet to $8,500 with 5♥4♥, and Tilly called. The flop was $18,900.
The flop was 3♠A♦A♠ giving Tilly the flop of her dreams, she checked, Gavri bet $6,000, and Tilly called. The pot was $30,900.
The turn came 10♥, Tilly checked and Gavri continued to barrel for $15,000, and Tilly called. The pot was $60,900.
The river was K♣; Gavri took a few moments to think before he shoved the remaining $53,700 just to get snap-called and lose the pot of $168,300.
Elamawy’s Trash Hand is Better Than Tilly’s
Tilly opened to $10,000 with 3♠2♣, Pacheco called with 8♠8♦, Steven called with Q♥10♦, and Elamawy closed the action with a 6♠4♥ call. The pot was $41,500.
The flop was 4♠2♥4♦, Tilly went for a $30,000 bet and got called by Elamawy. The pot was $101,500.
The turn came A♦ and both players checked.
The river was A♥, Elamawy checked, Tilly was forced to bluff since her showdown value got counterfeitted, so she bet $60,000 and got called. Elamawy was worried that he got outdrawn but that wasn’t the case. He won the pot of $221,500.
Tilly Stacks Robl for the Biggest Pot of the Season
Tilly opened to $10,000 with Q♠Q♦, Robl called with 10♦9♦, Steven called with J♦3♦, and Elamawy called with 7♦4♦. The pot was $41,100.
The dealer put down 10♣6♦10♥, all players checked to Tilly, who bet $20,000, and only Robl called. The pot was $81,100.
The turn was Q♣, Robl led for $40,000, and Tilly called. The pot was $161,100.
The river was 7♠; Robl led again for $60,000 before he found out the bad news when Tilly announced she was all-in for $231,000. The first thing Robl asked her was, “You have pocket queens, Jen?” but Tilly remained quiet. After some thinking, Robl decided to call, and he lost the pot of $623,900.
