High Stakes Poker Season 13 Episode 7 Recap

The stakes are going up on this episode of High Stakes Poker as a new lineup of players battle away at $500/$1,000 No-Limit Hold’em. Andrew Robl, Sameh Elamawy, Jennifer Tilly, Justin Gavri, and Brandon Steven all return for some high-stakes action, while Nik Airball and DoorDash Co-Founder Stanley Tang make their Season 13 debut. Run it Twice, Hit it Twice!

Tang opens 86, Airball, Elamawy, Tilly, and Humboldt Mike all called. The pot was $16,500.

The flop came 253; action went to Humboldt Mike, who decided to bet $10,000; Tang and Elamawy were the only callers. The pot was $46,500.

The turn was 7, and action went to Humboldt Mike again, and he went for a double barrel with a $60,000 bet holding 98. Tang called the bet, and Elamawy went all-in, which Tang called, and Humboldt Mike folded. Elamawy had 77 percent of equity holding 74, and they decided to run it twice. The pot was $297,500.

The first river was 9, giving Tang half of the pot, and the second river was 4, giving Tang the full pot with just 23 percent of equity.

Steven Gets Lucky to Take Half of The Pot

Steven opened to $6,000 with QJ, and Humboldt Mike was the only caller holding A10. The pot was $16,000.

The flop was Q8J, giving both players something. Steven bet $8,000, and Humboldt Mike called. The pot was $32,000.

The dealer put down K on the turn, and Steven continued to barrel with his two pairs, betting $17,000. Humboldt Mike went for a raise of $78,000, Steven snap-shoved for $217,000, and Mike called. The pot was $465,000, and they decided to run it twice.

Humboldt Mike had 91 percent of the equity with his straight, but the first river was J, giving Steven half of the pot. The second river came 5, and they split the pot.

Tang Continues to Bluff Them With Success

Tilly opened to $6,000 with QQ, and Tang and Steven both called. The pot was $19,500.

The flop came 10JA, giving Tang the best hand with two pairs. Steven and Tang both checked, and Tilly went for a $10,000 c-bet. Steven folded, and Tang called. The pot was $39,500.

The turn was A giving Tilly the lead in the hand as the board pair and gave her queens another pair. Tang checked, and Tilly bet $17,000. Tang raised to $70,000, and Tilly called. The pot was $179,500.

The river came 7, which made Tang pull the trigger and go for a $204,000 all-in bluff. Tilly was in a tough spot and worried about Tang completing the backdoor flush draw, but she folded in the end, holding the better hand.
