Jason Koon Wins Final Event of 2022 Poker Masters; Sean Winter Captures Purple Jacket

American Poker Pro Jason Koon is the winner of the final event of 2022 Poker Masters. He beat a field of 37 players in $50,000 NLHE tournament for $666,000 after beating Adrian Mateos Heads-Up.

Seven players remained after Day 1 of play, but only top 6 were paid. It was Daniel Negreanu who got stone-bubbled with pocket Aces, nonetheless.

A very tough field of Koon, Mateos, Scott Seiver, Erik Seidel, Seth Davies, and Mikita Badziakouski fought for the win. There was also a question of who will win a Purple Jacket, but when Davies was eliminated in 6th and Seidel in 5th the race was over, and Sean Winter was crowned Poker Master champion.

Koon entered heads-up battle against Mateos with a significant chip lead, however the lead has changed several times during the match. In the final hand, Spaniard made a hero call, and it was all over.
