The curtains have closed on the first ever Slovenian Poker Tour at King’s Casino Rozvadov, ending in a spectacular victory for Italy’s own Maurizio Pisciotti. Pisciotti topped a competitive field in the Half Million Master Main Event, claiming the grand prize of €83,250, which included a ticket to the upcoming World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) Main Event.
The final chapter of the Slovenian Poker Tour’s KK Half Million Master ended a swift heads-up battle that only lasted 20 minutes, leaving Karlovarský Král to reconcile with the runner-up position. While Král demonstrated remarkable skill throughout the tournament, he had to settle for the €52,250 prize. Pisciotti limped on the button with A♣3♥, and Král checked with K♣3♦. When the flop came 3♣3♠Q♥, it was already known that all the chips might end up on the table. Both players checked the flop and turn, and Král then put out a big bet on the river, which made Pisciott go all-in and Král calling.
