Poker is looking close to normal again in Las Vegas ahead of what could be a record breaking World Series of Poker.

Two weeks after the first casinos have reduced social distancing measures, most of the others have too. Only The Venetian, South Point and the Golden Nugget are continuing with plexiglass between each player, every other card room has taken them down already.

Masks are slowly coming off too, as it was reported that players who had both of their vaccination shots, will no longer be required to wear a mask or socially distance anywhere.

Now some people in the industry think that not only will September’s World Series of Poker will be close to normal, we may actually have one of the biggest Main Events in the festival’s history. By then most businesses in Las Vegas will be back to 100% capacity and so far live poker has been seeing record numbers.

With the removal of masks and plexiglass dividers, poker rooms look as close to normal as they have since the pandemic took hold in the U.S. in March 2020.
