Nominations Announced for 5th Global Poker Awards

In the world of entertainment and sports, awards are a staple – from the glamour of the Oscars to the musical extravaganza of the Grammys or the prestigious Ballon d’Or in football. Poker is no different, with its own night of stars and poker industry accolades. Who doesn’t love a bit of recognition, after all?

This year marks the 5th edition of the Global Poker Awards, celebrating the achievements and contributions in poker. The nominees across 16 diverse categories have been announced, highlighting the industry’s most influential and talented figures.

Three individuals stand out with nominations in three categories each. Caitlin Comeskey, last year’s Rising Star in Content Creation award winner, has been nominated for Short-Form Content Creator, Best Video Content, and Best X/Twitter Personality. She is facing stiff competition from Marle Spragg in the same categories as another triple nominee.

A new face in the scene, Alexander “Wolfgang Poker” Seibt, has made significant waves as the first poker content creator to reach the milestone of 1,000,000 YouTube subscribers. He’s been nominated in the Short-Form Content Creator category alongside two other nominations for Best Vlogger and Fan’s Choice for Poker Personality.

Three categories have already found their winners. The GPI Poker Player of the Year award goes to the impressive Bin Weng for his unstoppable performance in 2023. Kristen Foxen is set to receive her remarkable fourth GPI Female Player of the Year award, and Nick Pupillo will be honored with the Mid-Major PoY title.

Poker fans have the opportunity to voice their opinions in the Global Poker Awards. Final Four voting for the GPA Fans Choice Awards is open until January 31, allowing fans to vote in categories like Best Hand, Best Trophy, Best Live Stream, and Poker Personality. You can cast your vote here and support your favorites.

The Global Poker Awards will be broadcast live on PokerGo on Saturday, February 24, 2024. Below is the complete list of all the nominees vying for this year’s Global Poker Awards:
