After 10 hours of play in Day 2, we’ve got our diamond champion in €50,000 Diamond High Roller event. The star-studded field was conquered by Orpen ‘OrpTheTurk’ Kisacikoglu, who bags his first WSOP bracelet and €748,106 first place prize.
A well-known high roller regular denies PokerStars’ Sam Grafton his first bracelet, but the Brit can be happy about squeezing into top 2, as he was a short stack almost throughout the whole final table.
With this win, Kisacikoglu surpasses $10 million in career tournament winnings, with 4 of those millions coming in 2022. Just a few months ago, he finished 2nd at €100,000 Triton Main Event in Madrid for more than 2 million € and he didn’t forget about it in winner’s interview: “It feels incredibly special. Playing with friends makes things more relaxed at the table but yeah when we got to the final few I was starting to feel anxious about finishing second again.”
He also ran a giveaway on his Twitter account, asking his followers if and when he’ll surpass $9.5m in live winnings.
@YGautschi guess it correctly with €50,000 WSOPE event, which earned him 5% in WSOPE Main Event. Kisacikoglu ended that one in the money at 75th place for €20,650, so his twitter follower earned a cool €1,032 from the man!
