Poker Champions League event at Perla Poker Room in Nova Gorica that was scheduled to take place this week from 22nd to 26th of October, was postponed to a yet unknown date due to declared 30-day epidemic in Slovenia amid surge in COVID-19 infections.
Goriška region where Perla casino is situated was in Orange zone but has now passed into the Red Zone with the declared epidemic. Slovenian government banned all gatherings over 6 players, all organized events and introduced a 21:00 – 6:00 curfew, so it was only a matter of time before official announcement of tournament postponement.

Organizers informed all their players via social media and newsletter in which they wrote that they hope we could all return to the green felts as soon as possible. However, given the state of the coronavirus in Slovenia and across the Europe, this will probably not happen very soon …
In these few months when the measures against COVID-19 were somewhat milder, Perla Poker Room organized two bigger events – Italian Series of Poker at the end of September and Balkan Poker Circuit which concluded on October 10.
