Poker Dealer Accused of Stealing Chips in Cash Games

One of the poker players noticed that the Jack Cleveland Casino dealer had been stealing chips from the cash games and reported it. The dealer got fired and is now facing charges for 14 casino gaming law violations and theft.

Jack Cleveland Casino dealer Jason Saliba is a 51-year-old resident of Ohio who was accused of stealing chips 14 times after Casino staff checked surveillance cameras.

It all happened in a period of one month, but the amount stolen was under $1,000. In Ohio, if the theft is under $1,000, it is classified as a misdemeanor, not a felony. Saliba got instantly fired from Jack Cleveland Casino and could face 6 months in jail for breaking the law.

Ohio’s casino commission has faced many illegal gambling-casino dealings, whether that’s cheating or some other illegal activity.

Jack Cleveland Casino is one of the most prominent poker rooms in the area. It is famous for hosting the Mid Stakes Poker Tour and other major events. They recently hosted the Run Good Poker Series with a $1,000 Main Event, which ran over three days and attracted 510 players who created a prize pool of $474 962.

Dane Miller won the Main Event, was crowned champion, and won $98,607, the most significant cash of his career.
