Renowned poker pro Anthony Zinno was accused of grabbing a bag under the chair of another poker player during the World Poker Tour (WPT) event!
Corel Theuma is the poker player accusing Zinno, and he shared some details about it on X (formerly Twitter). He filed a police report against a player he didn’t know at the time.
Theuma posted on social media that he left the bag with $20,000 underneath his seat at Wynn Casino, but when he returned, there was only $1,000 left inside.
“I was just kind of focused on that, and it was really late,” Theuma explained to PokerNews. “Honestly, after a lot of long days of playing, you know, yeah, I left my bag behind under the chair, just exhausting to play all those days in a row.”
“I’ve known of Zinno, just kind of like I know of Daniel Negreanu, but I don’t have any kind of relationship with this man,” Theuma said. “I’ve never played with him on the same table. There’s no relationship whatsoever.”
Theuma also showed a screenshot of DM with Zinno, and two messages were unsended from Zinno.
Zinno didn’t make any comments about the accusations, but unsended DMs could imply that he was trying to avoid whole thing going public.
Zinno had an excellent reputation inside the poker community and has won four bracelets and three WPT titles with over $11.6 million in live MTTs.
