October is shaping up to be a thrilling month for Pot-Limit Omaha fans, as PokerGO Tour (PGT) has announced two exciting series that will showcase the high-action nature of this four-card variant. Back-to-back major events will give PLO the spotlight it deserves.
The action kicks off with the second 2024 installment of the PGT PLO Series, running from October 14 to 22. This edition will feature nine high-stakes events, with the highlight being the $25,200 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship. In the March series, Seth Davies took down the championship, while poker legend Daniel Negreanu triumphed in the $5,100 event. The first two series were held last year inside the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, where Lautaro Guerra lifted the trophy in March 2023 and Daniel Geeng in October 2023.
PokerGO has made some key changes to this year’s format. Unlike previous series, the buy-ins for this October series will no longer progress from lower to higher amounts. Additionally, the most notable change is the removal of the cap on re-entries across most events. Only the $25,200 Championship remains capped at two re-entries per player, offering more flexibility for those looking to take multiple shots at the title.

Following the conclusion of the PGT PLO Series II, the Super High Roller Bowl: PLO Edition returns from October 24 to 26. This three-day, $100,000 buy-in event promises to bring together the biggest names in the game, as they compete for glory in one of poker’s most prestigious events. Super High Roller Bowl (SHRB) events started back in 2015 and have seen 18 different tournaments held all over the world, but last year it was the first time that the Pot-Limit Omaha edition was introduced as Jared Bleznick claimed victory in the inaugural SHRB PLO edition, topping a 38-entry field to take home $1,292,000.
Day 1 of the Super High Roller Bowl will see late registration remain open until the start of Day 2, allowing for some last-minute entries. The field will play down to five players on Day 2, and on Day 3, a new champion will emerge to succeed Bleznick. Additionally, players who register on time will enjoy a $2,500 discount on their buy-in fee.
