The second season of the PokerGO Tour (PGT) now has 38 events complete following the recent 2022 U.S. Poker Open. With 12 events played we saw Sean Winter climbing up to fourth overall following his back-to-back wins to close out the U.S. Poker Open. Ali Imsirovic’s three cashes saw him move into second place overall as he looks to defend his 2021 PGT Player of the Year award.
The fourth edition of the U.S. Poker Open took center stage from inside the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, with 12 events throughout the series. Japan’s Tamon Nakamura played incredibly throughout his first PGT series and cashed six times while also winning the Big Bet Mix and 8-Game events. Nakamura was in the driver’s seat for winning the U.S. Poker Open Championship and Golden Eagle Trophy as he earned 588 points to see him climb into 14th place on the PGT leaderboard.
Unfortunately for Nakamura, he would be denied on the final lap of the series by Sean Winter who won the final two events to take the top spot on the U.S. Poker Open leaderboard after finishing runner-up the previous two years to David Peters. Following Winter’s two big wins, he moves into fourth overall on the PGT leaderboard. At the top of the PGT leaderboard, Tony Sinishtaj dropped two spots back as Isaac Kempton took the top spot after reaching two Pot-Limit Omaha final tables, while Ali Imsirovic’s three cashes moved him into second place overall on the PGT leaderboard.

PGT players are all eyeing a seat in the season-ending PGT Championship where the top 21 players as ranked by the PGT leaderboard will earn their seat into the $500,000 winner-take-all freeroll to crown the PGT Championship winner for 2022.
Upcoming on the 2022 PokerGO Tour is the Super High Roller Series Europe which will run from April 2-15 with a total of 15 events including Triton Cyprus, Merit Poker High Roller, Super High Roller Series Europe, and the $250,000 Super High Roller Bowl Europe. All the events will be playing out from the Merit Royal Hotel Casino & Spa in North Cyprus with every event earning PGT points. While Super High Roller Series Europe is playing out internationally, there will be two Seminole High Rollers taking place on April 6 and April 11 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
