American Poker Pro Jason Koon is the winner of the final event of 2022 Poker Masters. He beat a field of 37 players in $50,000 NLHE tournament for $666,000 after beating Adrian Mateos Heads-Up.
Seven players remained after Day 1 of play, but only top 6 were paid. It was Daniel Negreanu who got stone-bubbled with pocket Aces, nonetheless.
A very tough field of Koon, Mateos, Scott Seiver, Erik Seidel, Seth Davies, and Mikita Badziakouski fought for the win. There was also a question of who will win a Purple Jacket, but when Davies was eliminated in 6th and Seidel in 5th the race was over, and Sean Winter was crowned Poker Master champion.
Koon entered heads-up battle against Mateos with a significant chip lead, however the lead has changed several times during the match. In the final hand, Spaniard made a hero call, and it was all over.

As a Poker Masters champion he won coveted Purple Jacket and $50,000 money prize. He made two cashes during the series, while taking down $25,000 NLHE for a total of $777,000 money prizes.
Winter joins Steffen Sontheimer (2017), Ali Imsirovic (2018), Sam Soverel (2019), Alexandros Kolonias (2020 online), Eelis Parssinen (2020 online PLO), and Michael Addamo (2021) as Poker Masters Purple Jacket winners.
