Public nominations for the class of 2022 Women in Poker Hall of Fame are now open and will run through September 1. The mission for WiPHoF is to honor women in poker who have acquired prominence and have made contribution to the poker world.
Plan was to induct at least one female poker figure into the hall of fame every two years, but the ceremony in 2020 was put on hold for obvious reasons. You can cast your own nomination in this google form. Be sure to follow these guidelines as candidates must have following requirements:
The ceremony will be held at Resorts World Las Vegas during the Women in Poker Winter Festival that will take place from December 13-18. The 5-day festival is designed for women in poker to compete in an amazing event series as well as to come together in the spirit of friendship. You can check the full schedule here.
Two strong favorites are emerging for the Hall of Fame spot: Vanessa Selbst, three-time bracelet winner and #1 on the Women’s All-Time Tournament leaderboard with almost $12 million In earnings, and Kristen Bicknell who won GPI Female Poker Player of the Year three times in a row and is also a three-time WSOP winner.
There are several shouts for some other prominent women in poker like Kara Scott, Liv Boeree, Lynn Gilmartin, Gaëlle Baumann, among others.
