The Queens of Tallinn is returning to the Olympic Park Casino and Hilton Tallinn Park from November 28 through December 1, 2024. This four-day celebration of women in poker will feature 11 tournaments with buy-ins ranging from Free Entry to €555, plus 24/7 cash game action. Making its debut in 2023, Queens of Tallinn was created by poker powerhouse Teresa Nousianen.
The Queens of Tallinn features a packed schedule of events, including a €250 Main Event. The festival kicks off on November 28 with a Meet and Greet followed by an €80 NLH Deepstack and rounding off with a Free-Entry Satellite to the Ladies Main Event. The Queens of Tallinn also includes an NLH/ Pot Limit Omaha mixed event and the increasingly popular Progressive Bounty, as well as a unique team competition.
The Main Event has two starting days with late entry available into Day 2. The Ladies will play down to a final table of 9 on November 30th and the winner will be crowned on December 1st. Last year’s €350 Main Event drew 65 entries and saw Marta Porter crowned the 1st Champion. We spoke with Porter and she confirmed her attendance this year. When we asked her about what she was looking forward to the most, she replied, “What am I not looking forward to! The atmosphere, the non stop action, the wonderful company. Fingers crossed the poker gods will grace me with another deep run but just being there and being part of history will be phenomenal.”
The Team Challenge competition echoes the King’s of Tallinn team challenge, and 2% of all prize pools will go into the overall Team Challenge prize pool. Teams need to be registered by November 29th, 20.00 local time, to qualify for the team competition and consist of three female players. Register a Queens of Tallinn Team before November 21st and get free Team T-shirts with your Team Name on them. Prizes, more details concerning the team competition, and to sign up, go online.
Daiva Byrne, founder of Fantastic Ladies in Poker (FLIP), has confirmed that FLIP will enter a team for the team competition. She added that “she is delighted that she will be returning to Tallinn for the repeat of Europe’s first-ever ladies’ festival. The atmosphere and camaraderie between FLIP community members was just one element that helped make the inaugural event last year very special. Byne added, “I look forward to this once again and battling at the tables across the fun and varied schedule. Also, if things don’t go my way, exploring Tallinn old town is a magical winter experience too”.
The Queens of Tallinn is a celebration of women, but everyone is welcome to play Event #8,€150 NLH Ladies & Gentlemen, and Event #10, €80 NLH Hyper Turbo, both taking place on Saturday, November 30th. Cash games throughout the festival are also open to all players, male and female.
Teresa Nousianen told us that she is very much looking forward to Queens of Tallinn 2024!
“The support that women poker players give each other, the extraordinary warm vibes we had at last year’s Queens of Tallinn festival is second to none, and as a TD, I’m happy to be able to support women’s poker and develop women’s poker events all together, and I’m happy that Olybet gives all their support for any Women’s poker events and Queens of Tallinn.”
