Europe’ largest poker room in King’s Resort, Rozvadov has crowned a new big winner. After a short last day at the 2022 WSOP International Circuit Rozvadov Spring Edition Main Event, German Volkan Alkan was crowned the winner among the top 648 entrants.
It took just over six hours to distribute most of the € 1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool in the €1,700 buy-in tournament on the last day. Alkan went home with a cash prize of €160,500, in addition to receiving the WSOP Circuit Gold Ring, entry to the € 10,350 WSOP Europe 2022 Main Event and a seat at the WSOP Circuit Tournament of Champions during the 2022 Las Vegas WSOP.
Besnik Lalinovci, from Kosovo but living in Switzerland, entered on the last day as a chip leader and was responsible for much of the action at the back table. In the end, he failed to win and had to settle for a ‘consolation prize’ of €100,900 after a heads-up match that lasted just seven hands. Lalinovci pushed Q9o as a 4-bet bluff and was called insta by Alkan, who held ATo. The board didn’t connect to any players and Alkan was able to celebrate.
