World Poker Tour Heads to Amsterdam for WPT Prime Series

It seems every mid-stake poker tournament worldwide is hitting record-breaking numbers lately. Another huge crowd is expected at the fourth WPT Prime stop this season, in the famous Holland Casino in Amsterdam city center.

World Poker Tour Prime Amsterdam takes place from March 24 until April 1, and the highlight of the series will be €1,100 Main Event with three starting flights. But of course, there’s much more than just the Main Event. The festival will open with €565 NLHE Opener, those with a bit deeper pocket can play the €2,200 NLHE High Roller, the popular €840 NLHE Bounty tournament is scheduled for Monday, March 27, and there are also a couple of events for Omaha players.

Two WPT Prime events have finished so far in 2023, while WPT Prime Cambodia will conclude in the following days. Fabrice Bigot won the inaugural WPT Prime Paris for €177,240, while Australian Sheng Ye took down the WPT Prime Gold Coast for A$374,953 ($253,264).

Both events have attracted more than 1,000 entries, which proves the need for even more mid-stakes tournaments that provide big prize pools for affordable buy-ins.
