This December, the eyes of the poker world will once again turn to the Wynn Las Vegas as it plays host to the grand finale of the 21st season of the World Poker Tour. The WPT World Championship festival, running from November 29 to December 23, is set to conclude a landmark year in poker with an array of championship events and a promise of groundbreaking livestream coverage.
The championship returns with anticipation soaring high following last year’s record-breaking event, which marked the largest prize pool in live tournament poker history at that time. Last season’s finale saw an overwhelming 2,960 entries, leading to a near doubling of the $15 million guarantee to an astounding $29,008,000. This year, with the poker boom in full swing, the WPT World Championship is positioned to eclipse its previous success.
14 days of Livestreaming action
A 14-day marathon of livestreams will allow fans to immerse themselves in non-stop poker action. The WPT team, in partnership with Wynn Las Vegas, has meticulously planned this viewing extravaganza. “We developed a comprehensive livestream schedule in order to bring global viewers as much unique content as possible during the entire WPT World Championship festival,” announced Adam Pliska, CEO of the World Poker Tour. He continued, “There will be plenty of must-watch poker to catch during our cash game and final table streams, including the crowning of the ultimate winner of the $40 million guaranteed World Championship.”
The festival’s livestream will begin on December 7 with a $25/$50 Creator Cash Game and will feature poker influencers such as Brad Owen and Andrew Neeme. All live action will be available on the World Poker Tour YouTube and Twitch channels, with the WPT Championship Final Table spectacle concluding the live broadcast on December 21.

WPT World Championship Activities
The championship lineup includes the WPT Prime Championship, the WPT Ladies Championship, and the main event, the WPT World Championship. Players can also look forward to unique events like a Mystery Bounty and a Seniors event, each designed to cater to a wide range of participants and interests.
The Premier Meet-Up Game (MUG), scheduled for December 1, will kick off the festivities, bringing WPT Ambassadors, talent, and luminaries such as Phil Ivey and Lynn Gilmartin to the felt for some high-stakes action.
In what promises to be an unforgettable players’ party, the championship festivities will take guests through the experiential spaces of AREA15 on December 11, with an extended celebration that primes the players for the $10,400 buy-in, $40 million guaranteed WPT World Championship starting the following day.
