Day 4 of WSOP Europe Main Event has seen field wither down from 42 to final 8 players and leading the way is Omar Eljach with 19,480,000 chips, who grabbed majority of those on outer tables. The Swede is searching for his first bracelet, after a close call in a Heads-Up loss for the title earlier at WSOPE against Roman Verenko in €5,000 PL Omaha event.
Second in chips is Shaun Deeb, who built his stack of 16,580,000 chips at the featured table. A five-time WSOP bracelet winner is having one hell of a series in Rozvadov, Czech Republic as this is his 7th cash and 3rd final table. Unfortunately for Deeb, this year’s WSOP Europe results don’t count towards WSOP Player of the Year race, or he would almost certainly overtake Daniel Zack in 1st place, who won the POY this year, as he was only 1.333 points behind him in 4th place.
There are three other bracelet winners at the final table. Barny Boatman won two, one at 2013 WSOP and second one at 2015 WSOP Europe. Alexandre Reard, who was chip leading yesterday, got his bracelet last year in Vegas and the newest owner of an WSOP bracelet is Jonathan Pastore, who won $5,000 6-handed event at this year’s World Series of Poker.
