Jason James and his partner Jimmy Setna are the winners of the special Event #75: $1,000 Tag Team No Limit Hold’em. It was a four-day long journey that secured them their first WSOP bracelets and a shared prize of $190,910. The duo emerged victorious from a field of 1,437 teams, that built a prize pool of $1,264,560.
The event had unique rules: all teams had to register together, and each teammate needed to check in at their table before the end of the registration period. Every teammate was required to play at least one round of blinds at some point, or the team would face disqualification. Players could tag a teammate at any time when not in an active hand. Payouts were calculated based on the number of teams and distributed evenly among teammates. The final day was filled with excitement as the competition was whittled down from three tables to just one, with each of the final five teams striving for their first bracelet win.

Day 3 Highlights
The day started slow, with short stacks avoiding early elimination until an hour in. Team Thomas made early waves, increasing their stack to 1,700,000 by taking out the first teams. Their back-to-back aces led to quick eliminations of Team Cacoilo and Team Scott, propelling the game towards the two-table redraw.
Team Setna sent Team Perez packing in a pivotal hand, setting the stage for the final table. Team Wheeler fell to Team Ali, and Team Hopkins followed suit, leaving Team Setna with a dominant chip lead.
Although Team Ali briefly surged to the top, they were soon decimated by Team Setna’s two pair, leaving only three teams. At this point, Team Setna held over 70% of the chips.
The tournament concluded swiftly in just five hands. Team Bagin was eliminated by James’ ace-high, followed by Team Thomas losing to Setna’s ace-queen, crowning Team Setna as the champions of the Tag Team event.
