The Irish Open returns to a live poker setting for the first time since 2019 and the schedule looks incredible. Forty-two tournaments take place at the recently refurbished Citywest Hotel Dublin between April 11-18 that have buy-ins ranging from €100 up to €5,000. Qualify on partypoker!
It was 2019 that the Irish Open last took place in a live setting. Weijie Zhang secured the Main Event title that year, outlasting 1,806 opponents to get his hands on an impressive €300,000.
COVID-19-related restrictions put paid to plans for an Irish Open in both 2020 and 2021, but partypoker came to the rescue and created the Irish Open’s first online editions. It is fair to say they were both roaring successes, especially for Pablo Brito Silva and Pavlo Veksler who triumphed in the 2020 and 2021 Main Events for scores of €462,099 and €265,999, respectively.
