After recording another million dollar year in 2022, Daniel Negreanu has started new year on a great note as well, as he reaches a new milestone in his poker career with $50 million in live tournament winnings according to The Hendon Mob, becoming only third player in poker history to do so.
Tournament that pushed him over the line was PokerGO Cup Event #7, which he finished in 3rd place for $124,000 and is now at $50,116,496 total live earnings. Negreanu was knocked out by later winner Punnat Punsri, who beat Daniel Colpoys in Heads-Up for $310,000. This is Daniel’s third cash during the first high roller series of the year as Canadian finished 12th in Event #1 for $18,000 and 8th in Event #6 for $50,000.
His biggest career cash was 2nd place in 2014 WSOP $1,000,000 Big One for One Drop for $8,288,001 that he lost to Daniel “mrGR33N13” Colman, followed by last year’s Super High Roller Bowl VII win with $3,312,000.
Daniel is currently sitting in 3rd place on All Time Money List with Justin Bonomo being first with close to $59 million and Bryn Kenney with over $57 million in tournament winnings. In 2022 he closed up the gap, winning $3 million more than Bonomo and $4.6 million more than Kenney, who hardly recorded any tournament cashes last year.
