After Irish Open Comes the Record-Breaking €150,000 The Monster

Only a few weeks after the ending of the Irish Open, which concluded with David Docherty taking down the Main Event for €365,000, comes a series that promises to cater to all the players, including those on a budget. It’s time for The Monster!

The festival takes place from April 27-30 in the Green Isle Hotel in Dublin and will feature a record-breaking Main Event with a €150,000 guaranteed prize pool for a mere €150 buy-in. It will be the biggest tournament in Irish poker history at this buy-in level.

The Main Event starts on Thursday, April 27 with Day 1A, and five more starting flights are spread over the next two days, including the Day 1F Hyper on Saturday evening. All surviving players will come back on Sunday at noon when play concludes when the winner is crowned.

There are eleven trophy events on the schedule and several side events where players can battle for their share of at least €250,000, all that for a small buy-in.

The Monster is part of the Irish Poker Tour, Ireland’s leading poker brand that continues to produce excellent live poker experiences in Ireland and beyond. This year alone, they will have a combined prize pool guarantees of over €2,600,000.

Irish Poker Tour Launches “Team Pro”

The Irish Poker Tour has announced the launch of the newly formed Irish Poker Tour Team. The mission is to raise the profile of several young and promising poker stars.

The first two announced members of the Pro Team are identical twins Robby and Ray Bryant, two of the best-known players that have recently emerged on the Irish poker scene. Both 31-year-olds dream of playing poker full-time, and making it into the Team means one step closer to that goal.
