On Sunday a much anticipated €50,000 EPT Super High Roller has started, which very quickly surpassed the guarantee of one million Euros. At the end 55 entries were registered for a total prize pool of €2,668,050.
After two grueling days seven players started the Day 3 today. Nobody was short as even the shortest Orpen Kisacikoglu has 35 big blinds, so we expected a long fight for positions, even though all players were already in the money.
Seat | Player | Country | Chip Count | Big Blinds |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Sergio Aido | Spain | 1,895,000 | 63 |
2 | Pablo Brito Silva | Brazil | 2,165,000 | 72 |
3 | Orpen Kisacikoglu | Turkey | 1,035,000 | 35 |
4 | Dimitar Danchev | Bulgaria | 1,355,000 | 45 |
6 | Sam Grafton | United Kingdom | 2,420,000 | 81 |
7 | Rodrigo Seiji | Brazil | 2,460,000 | 82 |
8 | Daniel Dvoress | Canada | 2,420,000 | 81 |
And oh boy were we wrong. The first player to exit is Sam Grafton, who was a chip leader after Day 1 and also among top three players to start the day with either 82 or 81 big blinds. Even though he had only 1 big blind less than Rodrigo Seiji, he still managed to get knocked out.
And it was quite a setup with Grafton going all-in with AK and Seiji snap calling pocket Aces and Brit is out in 7th for €140,070.

The field at the high roller was a star-studded event with all the top poker pros. But at the tables were not only famous poker names, but also other celebrities like football star Gerard Piqué, who was unfortunately eliminated at the end of the first day. We’ll see whether he’ll play another tournament and continue to gather poker experience.
