The UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) London, one of the most anticipated poker festivals in the region, kicks off tomorrow at the iconic Hippodrome Casino London in Leicester Square. Following the special summer event in Malaga in June, London marks the second stop of the UKIPT season, scheduled from August 2 to 11.
The PokerStars-branded event promises ten days of exhilarating poker action and it all commences with the £330 UKIPT Warm-Up Mystery Bounty on Friday, setting the stage for an action-packed series. Three flagship events are expected to draw the most attention. The £2,200 UKIPT High Roller, scheduled for August 7-8, and the popular UKIPT Cup with a £330 buy-in will close the festival from August 10-11.
The highlight of the series, however, is the £1,100 Main Event, starting on August 4 with the first of three starting flights. The other two flights are set for August 8 and 9, with the new champion to be crowned on Sunday, August 11.
Last year, Dylan Bradley triumphed in the UKIPT London Main Event, taking home £71,650 after besting a field of 374 entries. The previous season was particularly memorable, with PokerStars Team Pros and popular Twitch streamers Benjamin “Spraggy” Spragg and Fintan “easywithaces” Hand winning their first major titles. Spraggy clinched the UKIPT Brighton Main Event for £69,120, defeating Dominik Nitsche in heads-up play. A month later, Fintan secured his career-best £44,200 by winning the UKIPT Edinburgh Main Event, while Spraggy finished sixth.

Ambassador Meet Up
PokerStars ambassadors will be in London for the festival, offering fans a chance to meet and compete against them in a special event. The Ambassador Meet-Up Game on Tuesday, August 6, is a £220 buy-in Bounty Freezeout tournament where knocking out a PokerStars ambassador rewards players with a special envelope containing either a Power Path Bronze Pass worth $109 or a coveted Silver Pass worth $2,500. Additionally, the event winner will secure a seat at the UKIPT Nottingham Main Event.
With notable names like Lex Veldhuis, Sam Grafton, Barny Boatman, Joe Stapleton, James Hartigan, Adam McKola, Rory Jennings, Georgina “GJ Reggie” James, Nick Walsh, and Kerryjane Craigie participating, there will be ample opportunities to grab special prizes and enjoy a festival packed with poker action.
