World Poker Tour Announces 13 Ladies Events for Season XXI

After revealing the first and the second part of Season XXI schedule, World Poker Tour has now announced the release of 13 brand-new Ladies Events that will take place throughout the regular stops of the new WPT season.

“At WPT we take pride in the efforts we have put forth to increase women’s participation in poker,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska. “As we recognize and celebrate International Women’s Day, we look forward to these record-setting initiatives throughout Season XXI and seeing more women play in our events around the world.”

All these thirteen events will lead up to the second annual WPT Ladies Championship, which will take place at the WPT World Championship in December. The venue for the season finale hasn’t been revealed just yet, but it’s expected to take place at the Wynn, Las Vegas once again.

Last year’s event with $1,100 buy-in attracted 578 players that generated $560,660 prize pool. Canadian Lina Niu took home the gold and $105,136 money prize after beating Ukraine’s Olga Iermolcheva in heads-up. Dusti Smith, Cindy Spier, Kathy Liebert, and Jamie Kerstetter were also at the final table.

Seven of the Ladies event will be included at WPT Prime stops and six at Main Tour stops. Full schedule of Season XXI Ladies Events:
