  • Final Table Time

    Level:23 (15000/30000/30000)
    Entries:10/287
    Prizes:$368,078

It was a brutal end for Nick McEwan tonight. In the final hand of Level 22, he raised to 50k under the gun, then called with slightly more when Daniel Lefebvre shoved the button.

McEwan was in good shape pre with kings over tens, but a ten on the flop of 104AJJ flipped the script to Lefebvre for the win. McEwan still had 25k behind, but was forced all-in for less than a big blind and busted that hand.

  • Down to 11

    Level:22 (15000/25000/25000)
    Entries:11/287
    Prizes:$368,078

They are on the final table bubble now with 11 players left after Jason Tomei and Senthuran Vijayaratnam busted within moments of each other. Vijayaratnam shoved over an early raise to 50k from Michael Malm and Malm called it off for about 150k.

Malm had Vijayaratnam dominated with king-jack into jack-ten, and the board didn’t change anything.

  • Malm’s Aces Hold

    Level:22 (15000/25000/25000)
    Entries:13/287
    Prizes:$368,078

They’ve been on 13 remaining for quite a while now, not least because short stacks keep doubling. In this case, Sean O’Reilly raised the hijack to 65k then shoved over Mike Malm’s reraise to 155k.

Malm almost beat him into the pot with the call, and it was aces for Malm over queens for O’Reilly. Malm flopped an ace to take a huge lead, but O’Reilly had backdoor heart hopes until the turn.

  • Dinner Chips

    Level:22 (15000/25000/25000
    Entries:13/287
    Prizes:$368,078

Robbie Mosher is still the chip leader on the dinner break with 1.5 million, though he lost a big pot just before the break to chip up Sean O’Reilly to over a million as well. O’Reilly is third while Adam Balog, on the other table, is second with just shy of 1.25 million. Players will be back in action for Level 22 in about 15 minutes.

  • Malm Gets There for a Double

    Level:21 (10000/20000/20000)
    Entries:13/287
    Prizes:$368,078

Sean O’Reilly raised under the gun to 50k, then snap-called when Mik Malm shoved the cutoff. Malm needed help with nines into aces, but the help came on the flop when the board ran 9K378.

“Just give me an ace of diamonds,” O’Reilly joked as he slid the double across.

  • O’Reilly Doubles

    Level:21 (10000/20000/20000)
    Entries:13/287
    Prizes:$368,078

Sean O’Reilly raised the button to 40k then snap-called when Matthew Ouellette shoved the small blind with a bit more. It was a cooler that got even colder on the flop when the board ran out KQ33A. O’Reilly doubled up to almost 700k while Ouellette is down to about 180k.

There is a dinner break coming up in about 20 minutes and I’ll grab another round of full counts then.

  • Tomei Shoves Turn

    Level:21 (10000/20000/20000)
    Entries:13/287
    Prizes:$368,078

Jason Tomei raised the cutoff to 42k and Dave S came along from the big blind to see 2K10 on the flop. Dave check-called for 40k, then checked again on the J turn. Tomei shoved for about 180k and took it down when Dave folded.

Note that Dave S prefers anonymity, so I won’t be using his full name or picture today.

  • Down to 13

    Level:20 (8000/16000/16000)
    Entries:13/287
    Prizes:$368,078

  • 14 Left

    Level:20 (8000/16000/16000)
    Entries:14/287
    Prizes:$368,078

They are down to 14 left after Mason St. Martin went out in 16th place. Robbie Mosher raised early to 37k, then snapped it off with St. Martin shoved with less. St. Martin was on pocket eights but needed some help against the queens of Mosher. The board was clean for the big pair and St. Martin cashed out for $4,601.

Sebastien Lamprea followed St. Martin to the desk immediately after for 15th place.

  • Down to 16

  • Lefebvre with Three in a Row

    Level:20 (8000/16000/16000)
    Entries:17/287
    Prizes:$368,078

For the first two hands, Daniel Lefebvre first raised his button to 32k and got it through, then raised the cutoff to the same and got it through again.

In the third hand, he made it 32k again from the hijack, but this time got a caller from Senthuran Vijayaratnam in the big blind. They both checked it to the river on 686A4 where Vijayaratnam check-folded to a bet of 50k from Lefebvre.

  • Malm Doubles

    Level:20 (8000/16000/16000)
    Entries:17/287
    Prizes:$368,078

James Cruikshank limped in from the button, then called when Michael Malm raised it to 50k. Malm checked the 635 flop, then snapped it off when Cruikshank shoved with more.

Malm had kings against 76 and the kings held when the board ran out paired jacks. The hand put Malm up to about 250k while dropping Cruikshank down to about 55k.
