76 Entries Confirmed
Level: 9 (600/1,200/1,200) Entries: 29/76 Prizes: $36,100 The prizes are in and posted under the payouts tab. -
76 Unofficial Entries
Level: 9 (600/1,200/1,200) Entries: 32/76 Prizes: $36,100 Entries are now closed for the 6-Max with 76 entries on the board. I’m still waiting for that to be confirmed, but if it holds it means 8 players will split $36,100 at the end of the night tonight. Payouts should be posted shortly, and I’ll confirm all the numbers then.

About 30 Minutes to Enter
Level: 8 (500/1,000/1,000) Entries: 31/72 Prizes: $34,200 The dinner break is fast approaching as Level 8 ticks down to the end. That means there are about 30 minutes left to enter this game.
The prizes are currently closing in on $35k with 72 entries on the board, and there are still 31 players at the felt.
-
Just Over an Hour to Enter 6-Max
Level: 7 (400/800/800) Entries: 32/61 Prizes: $28,975 There is just over an hour left to get into the 6-Max game now as the final ten minutes of Level 7 play out now. The field is up to 61 entries now with 32 still in play for prizes of just shy of $29k. Among the recent entries was Ali Razzaq.
-
$27k in Prizes
Level: 7 (400/800/800) Entries: 31/57 Prizes: $27,075 Level 7 has just begun and they are up to 57 entries now with 31 still in play. That puts the prizes at just over $27k with about 90 minutes left to enter.
-
50 Entries
Level: 6 (300/600/600) Entries: 30/50 Prizes: $23,750 They are up to 50 entries on the board as Level 6 begins with 30 players still at the felt. That puts the prizes at almost $24k now with about 2 hours left to enter or rebuy.
-
Some Break Stacks
Level: 5 (300/500/500) Entries: 29/42 Prizes: $19,950 They are just shy of $20k in prizes now with 42 entries on the board and 29 players still alive. There are still about 5 minutes in the break before they get into Level 5 action, and I had a look around for some early big stacks.
Michael St. Pierre looks to be leading right now with about 70k in front of him, while Nick Milkovich looks to be playing about 60k. Meanwhile, the dream has died for Kris Steinbach’s first stack today as he was unable to get much past the 10k mark in his recent runback. But never fret, he did manage to chip up again, but he had to do it at the rebuy desk for a fresh stack during the break.
-
Steinbach Stacking
Level: 4 (200/400/400) Entries: 30/38 Prizes: $18,050 Kris Steinbach is among the players in action today, and he’s been riding a bit of a rollercoaster so far. He called me over to the table to let me know he was near felted with less than a big blind, but then ran that up to about 5k again. “Just letting you know in advance – I think this is my tournament to lose now.”
Shortly after that he doubled up again to around 10k, so while he’s still a bit off his starting stack, he still seems to be rebuilding his stack fairly effectively from fumes.

Tran, Lane and Yamagishi Among the Recent Entries
Level: 3 (200/300/300) Entries: 30/35 Prizes: $16,625 They are up to 35 entries with just a few minutes left in Level 3. That puts the prizes over $16k now and among the newer faces competing for a piece of that are Main Event winner Jay Tran, Deven Lane, and Colten Yamagishi.
-
$15k in Prizes
Level: 3 (200/300/300) Entries: 27/32 Prizes: $15,200 They are up to 32 entries now with about 20 minutes to play in Level 3. That puts the prizes over $15k and climbing. DJ Sharma was among the recent entries to the game and Ross Wilson and Ed Zurawell are also in the mix today.
-
Up to 25 Entries
Level: 2 (100/200/200) Entries: 24/25 Prizes: $11,875 The prizes are nearing $12k now with 25 entries on the board and 24 players in their seats. All tables are currently full, but there are dealers waiting for tables to open on demand, so there is immediate seating for any new entries.
-
Nearly $10k for Level 2
Level: 2 (100/200/200) Entries: 20/21 Prizes: $9,975 Level 2 has just begun with 21 entries on the board and 20 players still alive. Johnny Dalphond was among the recent entries to the game since my last update.

And They’re Off!
Level: 1 (100/100/100) Entries: 15/15 Prizes: $7,125 Action is underway in the 6-Max now with 15 players in their seats for the opening level. One table is a bit of a redo from last night, though the positions are a bit reversed.
In the Seniors last night, heads up came down to Kim Graham, sitting in seat 9 on Table 14, and Brett Worton in Seat 1. Graham took that one down, but they are both back today for the 6-Max, and they are back on Table 14 together. The only difference today is that Worton is the one in Seat 9 with Graham on the other side of the table.
Also on the table are Rob Lothian, Nick Malkovich, and Weston Pring, so it’s something of a killer table. Other players I’ve spotted in early action include Keith Graham, who is Kim’s twin and who was part of the runner-up team in the first Tag Team event this year, as well as Kris Steinbach, Alex Liu (winner of the most recent Main Event ring at the Calgary WSOP-C) and Nadav Bitton.

10 Minutes to Action
Level: 0 (0/0/0) Entries: 8/8 Prizes: $3,080 The 6-Max is about to get underway with less than ten minutes on the clock before the game officially begins. Entries are a little sparse so far today, but there are already 8 players waiting for the cards to start being dealt.
Entries are open today for 8 levels and, including two breaks, will close around 5:45 pm this evening. There will be a 30-minute dinner break following Level 8 and the reg-desk will be closed when they finish dinner.
This will be my focus event today, but stay tuned for details on the side event later today. For players not interested in 6-handed play, the side game tonight plays 9-handed but also includes alternating rounds of NLH and PLO.

6-Max Time
Event: Event#3: $560 6-Max Date: Oct 16, 1 pm Blinds: 30 Min Starting Stack: 25,000 Late Entry: 8 Levels (~5:45 pm) It’s time for the 6-Max, which is generally one of the more popular events on the schedule. The action kicks off at 1 pm on Wednesday with 30-minute blinds and a 25k starting stack. Players will have 8 levels to buy into the game which should put the final chance to enter at about 5:45.
This game will be my main focus for Wednesday. There is also the NLH/PLO Mix that starts at 4 pm for players who prefer 9-handed play (or like a bit of four-card action thrown in) but I’ll be focused on this one until the crown a winner.
